Why is Paint Correction So Expensive?

Why So Expensive?

The reason that paint correction is priced where it is, is because there is a lot that goes into it. Depending on the level of paint correction it can take anywhere between 6 - 24+ hours. Paint Correction is one of those things that sounds easy, but is in all actuality - not the simplest thing to do. True paint correction takes a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge to do correctly. From simple knowledge on products, pads, and polishing techniques all the way up to more complex factors such as different paint hardness’, substrates, and finishing on the most finicky of paints.

“The Guy Who Can Do It Cheaper”

Obviously, as consumers we are always looking for the best price - which is understandable. However, it is highly recommended that when you shop around for paint correction - you should not just look at the price that is offered. Ask yourself these questions.

“Do they have a portfolio”?

Before investing into a high ticket service such as paint correction - look into your service provider. Does your service provider have clear photos or videos of their work under a lighting source? If not, then how can you assure yourself that you will be happy with the results? Here at Active Auto Detailing we have an extensive portfolio of corrections and coatings we have completed.

TIP: Often times, inexperienced individuals will not show results under a lighting source - instead they will show a glossy vehicle; however, even the most glossy vehicles can be riddled with swirls when exposed to a lighting source.

“Do they have reviews”?

Does the service provider you're looking into have any reviews whatsoever? Reviews can act as a support for their portfolio and can let you know that other people enjoyed the quality of their work. Here at Active Auto Detailing we have plenty of 5-star reviews from happy clients!
